How a piano actually works (in 30 seconds)

Want to make melodies, faster? Well, here’s exactly how to never get stuck again making chords.

The way we find order in the 12 notes in a piano is by using scales.

The 2 most popular ones (major and minor) are basically made by choosing 7 of those 12 notes in a specific order.

And the way we make good sounding stuff with those 7 notes is (usually) by making triad chords.

To make a triad chord in any scale, simply choose a starting note, and from there count in 3s. For example:
✅1
❌2
✅3
❌4
✅5. Done!

And the way we tell different triad chords apart is by naming them.

The naming format is simple:

If your starting note is the 1️⃣st note of the scale (Like the note C is in a C major scale), then it’s a 1️⃣ chord.

And that’s it! Now you know how to make the 7 chords in any major or minor scale.
